Fabulous Tulips, Portraits, and Painters at Roozengaarde at the Mount Vernon Tulip Festival

Do you like seeing beautiful rows of multi-colored tulips that stretch for miles? Then, grab the kids, your phone and a camera and explore the gorgeous flower gardens at Roozengaarde in Mount Vernon, Washington. Spring sprung early this year, 2024, and the tulips are huge and so colorful! When I was there this week with photographer friends from the Kitsap Photography Guild, we entered the gardens at 10 am and spent two hours roaming around the tulip fields. Two Hearts Become One at Their Winter Wedding Surrounded by Nature and Family

Congratulations to Connie Pendergraft and Philip Hanson. They married each other in front of their family and friends in an intimate ceremony on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Woodland Lodge & Farms in Port Ludlow, Washington. Navy Submariner Marries Horse Loving Girl!

On a cool and sunny autumn Saturday, November 2, 2019, Suzanne (Suzie) Cairns and Navy man, Garrett Zimmerman, married each other before family and friends at the Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge Island, Washington, followed by a chic barn reception at Red Cedar Farm and smoked alligator from Bubba’s Country Cue in Poulsbo. Their wedding day began with a sweet and beautiful First Look, followed by family photos, the wedding ceremony, and a romantic, fun-filled reception where guests danced, enjoyed petting the farm animals, played pinball, or sat outside by the fire-pit. Two Hearts Unite at Bremerton's Harborside Fountain Park!

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, Marina and Malcolm DeWalt exchanged their wedding vows in front of family and friends at the Harborside Fountain Park and the Kitsap Conference Center for events. The wedding ceremony was timed perfectly for the Washington State Bremerton Ferry to come into the harbor during their ceremony; and, the ferry was in the harbor for some of their wedding party photographs. Rich and I couldn’t be happier for Marina and Malcolm. They are such a sweet couple! We got to know them when we did their engagement photos in April. Lavender, Eagles, the Coast, and Day Tripping Photography

The wonders of having a day to yourself is FANTASTIC! On these days, I love to do a day trip with my camera and rediscover favorite places while seeing new and wonderful scenes and nature. On this excursion, I chose to drive up to Sequim, Washington known as the Provence of Washington. I saw and photographed Red Winged Blackbirds, juvenile fledgling eagles in their nest, scenic coastal stops with bright yellow daisies, and purple lavender fields!!! Such a special day!
