Autumn is the perfect time to take a deep breath, exhale, and appreciate our natural beauty surrounding us. Get out there and seize the day! With your camera get off Auto and put your camera to Manual Mode. Adjust the aperture and the shutter speed and use your ISO. The lower the number on the aperture the more light you let in. Using high numbers for shutter speed will freeze action. Using higher ISO number enables your camera to work in lower light conditions with more light. Does that make sense? Yeah, it’s a Pandemic and yes, we’re staying at home for the most part. So, letting go and allowing yourself to get creative with your camera or camera phone and have fun and relax — get into the zone —will probably surprise you because you will get great pictures and you will learn a few new tricks. Like working with macro photography and using a macro lens. All of the shots below were taken with a Canon 100 mm lens and some with flash. Are you excited to learn more! Yay!!!

In this time of change and worldwide awareness for our health and safety it's important to do our best to remain calm, take care of ourselves, and I believe get back to the basics of life. As you know, I recently lost Anabel, my mom, and I'm grateful she passed before the Pandemic. In honor of her life I took a few days last week to recharge my batteries and soul and to remember her legacy. I walked the beach, felt the wind on my face, collected agates and rocks, breathed fresh air, hiked, and enjoyed the comfort of natural surroundings. I'd like to share this now with you in the hope that it may brighten your day wherever you are - Jolly
