The Natural Beauty of Scandinavian Countries: Norway and Denmark by Jolly Sienda Photography and Studio

Sailing away on a 14-day Norwegian Fjord cruise, July 2023, was a BIG check on my travel bucket list. My adoptive grandfather, D. This year, I visited Malta, the island of Gozo and Valletta for the first time and both Rich and I fell in love with the people, food, architecture and the rich culture. The year 2020 is unlike any year in our lifetime! Despite the worldwide Pandemic the show must go on safely! Ballet dancers from Ballet Northwest and the Olympia Dance Center performed The ballet The Nutcracker while wearing PPE masks during filming of The Nutcracker in November 2020 at The Center in Olympia, Washington. Jolly Sienda Photography was there on Friday, November 13, photographing an enthusiastic and talented cast under the direction of Ken and Josie Johnson.

Poulsbo, Washington's Little Norway Provides Rich Culture and Fun for the Family!

Have you ever visited Poulsbo, Washington? It’s a Norwegian-style town settled in the late 1800’s by Europeans from Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany. The town is known for its Norwegian old fashioned flair, vikings, colorful painted buildings, inviting boat marina, walk-able streets, restaurants, and shops. In the summer and winter there are viking festivals and art festivals on the marina. Families gather at the Austin Kvelstad Pavilion for picnics and in the summertime art festivals and musicians often entertain on the weekend from the pavilion. Liberty Bay provides a great area for boating, kayaking, water-sports, and a fireworks display over the 4th of July holiday.

Commercial Lifestyle Photoshoot with Kelly Sievertson, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW

Everybody gets stressed at times in their lives. Whether it be a divorce, job change, loss of family, or living in a Pandemic — life can stress you out!

Meet Kelly Sievertson, a licensed clinical social work and therapist practicing in Edmonds, Washington. Kelly came to me because she needed new images for her website and marketing materials. Our initial photoshoot took a couple of hours, both indoors in a studio setting with an office and lounge background, and outdoors, incorporating the Pacific Northwest’s nature, Kitsap Peninsula gardens, and waterfront. Here is a sampling of some of her new photos.

Our goal during this session was to capture Kelly in a approachable, likable way, while exploring the nature of joy and of trauma, which she helps people manage on a daily basis.
