Autumn is the perfect time to take a deep breath, exhale, and appreciate our natural beauty surrounding us. Get out there and seize the day! With your camera get off Auto and put your camera to Manual Mode. Adjust the aperture and the shutter speed and use your ISO. The lower the number on the aperture the more light you let in. Using high numbers for shutter speed will freeze action. Using higher ISO number enables your camera to work in lower light conditions with more light. Does that make sense? Commercial Lifestyle Photoshoot with Kelly Sievertson, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW

Everybody gets stressed at times in their lives. Whether it be a divorce, job change, loss of family, or living in a Pandemic — life can stress you out!

Meet Kelly Sievertson, a licensed clinical social work and therapist practicing in Edmonds, Washington. Kelly came to me because she needed new images for her website and marketing materials. Our initial photoshoot took a couple of hours, both indoors in a studio setting with an office and lounge background, and outdoors, incorporating the Pacific Northwest’s nature, Kitsap Peninsula gardens, and waterfront. Here is a sampling of some of her new photos.

Our goal during this session was to capture Kelly in a approachable, likable way, while exploring the nature of joy and of trauma, which she helps people manage on a daily basis. Yeah, it’s a Pandemic and yes, we’re staying at home for the most part. So, letting go and allowing yourself to get creative with your camera or camera phone and have fun and relax — get into the zone —will probably surprise you because you will get great pictures and you will learn a few new tricks.
